We have received your signed Contract and documents in our office where your Exchange and Completion Team will assess all documentation to ensure everything is on order and prepared for exchange and completion. The Contract will become legally binding once they are exchanged. At this stage, the sale is confirmed at the agreed asking price and neither party can pull out without facing serious financial consequences, therefore, your sale is legally secured!

  • Assess your signed documentation and ensure that all documents are in order.
  • Prepare your file for exchange and completion.
  • Contact the buyer’s solicitor to confirm the Contracts are identical.

YOUR TO DO LIST

  • Keep an eye out for your phone and emails to organise exchange and completion dates with your team.

USEFUL TIPS BEFORE EXCHANGE AND COMPLETION

Once you have returned the documents, we will contact the buyer’s solicitor to confirm they are indeed identical. The Contracts are then exchanged and you, as well as all parties become legally bound to the transaction, which leads onto when the exchange takes place.
